Here are a few tips to get started with your e-portfolio:
- Make sure you have as many of your previous MDE assignments as possible
- Make lists of the following items that you will consider adding to the portfolio:
- Accomplishments during the MDE (other than completing the courses successfully)
- Assignments that you in fact want to share
- Reflections on specific courses and reflections on specific assignments
- Professional artifacts
- Your resume (CV)
- Your picture
- Lists of articles that you want to keep for your reference as you move forward---and that could be linked to your e-portfolio
- Think about the technology you want to use for your e-portfolio.
- Visit Barrett’s list of e-portfolio tools:
- As you choose your tool, decide where you want information to reside (what server).
- Remember that you can start working on reflections and pieces of your e-portfolio, without yet having a final place for the e-portfolio. The final place should be where everything will hang together.
